“I want to f*ck you…

HOT+T…like I’m never gonna c u again!” - The Wise Old Kid Rock

It’s Friday night, I’m driving home in my beat up Lexus with a belly full of $5.99 Chinese buffet food thinking I’m gonna be sick the next day. The CD player isn’t working so I have to listen to the radio, which plays the same five songs every hour. Kid Rock’s, what sounds to be, new song begins to play. Questions for the Web Designer

I’ve always had a hard time trying to find a color scheme for a website. I find that Colourlovers is a great site to go to and I keep a copy of Jim Krause’s Color Index handy, as well. However, with all the choices I have in front of me, I still can’t find a color scheme I like. If I’m using an image for a layout, I usually try to use the colors found in that image. I think it kind of brings harmony if I do that.

Anyway, on to my questions for the web designers out there:

  1. Where do you go to find color inspiration?
  2. Do you ever have a mood in mind when choosing colors?
  3. What color have you found you use the most?
  4. What color schemes do you think that web designers should stay away from?

I don’t know if those are good questions to ask but I think it’ll get the ball rolling. So, answer away!
