Thanks to Matt Lenz from http://webrevolutionary.com/, I was able to download Joost and give it a try. I think I’ll be using this as an alternative to cable TV. As some of you may not know, Colin and I don’t own a TV in our aparment which I think is a good thing but now, here comes Joost.

Red Interactive Agency

I was looking through the websites at CSSRemix and happened to glance at one with ff0000.com as the domain name. I would have never thought to use hex values as a domain name but someone else has! Anyway, the name of the company is Red Interactive Agency. They specialize in web development and online marketing among other things. The coolest thing about their site though is the chat feature they’ve provided. You are first given a generic username as well as a random character which can both be changed when you familiarize yourself with website. The setting is like an old, ancient graveyard that the users can travel by foot OR they can fly into the vastness of space. Of course, there’s a point where you can’t go any further.

I’ve never really seen a design firm who can keep people on their websites for a long amount of time.

Anyway, here’s the link: http://www.ff0000.com/

Check the site out and look for “Khorin”. You know who that is! :-)

Land of Broken Dreams

Today’s site is Land of Broken Dreams. I just joined this community and will probably find my own little place here. It will probably contain more personal things than Shizublog. If you are a member or become a member, add me to your buddy list!

In other news, I’m all through with the business cards for JOTS but I’ve decided to get an approval before I get it printed. The last thing to worry about is the website. I would definitely like to have the domain and layout up and running when the business cards have been printed. Actually, I’d like to have the content on the website by the time the business cards are printed. That’s probably too much to ask, though. Later today, I’ll add an image of the finished result of the business card design but I’m going to get a layout done (at least started) first.

I’ve decided to start featuring websites I visit everyday. I’m always looking at websites for inspiration or just for fun and everytime I find websites that are just too beautiful.

Today I would like to feature: Dreamscaper by C.S. Ling

This houses a blog, beautiful photography, and an awesome header image. Check it for yourself and see the beauty within!

My first try at isometric pixel art

HouseWith the help of pixelfreak.com’s tutorial, I was able to make my first isometric house. It’s rather simple and it almost looks like the end result of the tutorial but added my own touches to it. I will definitely be doing more of these.
