This store sells Asian-inspired items created by artists and designers. Beautiful stuff! You’ll find hand bags, jewelry, clothing, and even something for the babies! Different Asian countries are represented on this website like Tibet, China and Japan just to name a few. If you love anything Asian, this is the place for you. Watch out for the sushi earrings!

The bag in the image is what I use to carry my camera. It came from Japan thanks to my mother.

Create a Test

There are three versions of the five second test: Classic, Compare, and Sentiment. For the Classic option, you just upload an image of your interface and then testers will have to view the image for five seconds and list 5 features they can remember. With the second option, Compare, you upload two different pictures and testers have 2 and a half seconds to view each image. Then they decide which image they prefer. With the Sentiment option, testers have five seconds to view your interface and then they decide which one is their least favorite feature and most favorite feature.

Do a Random Test

This is fun! I’ve done all three tests and I can’t for the life me remember the features every time I do the classic or sentiment tests. If the design is successful, however, I can list all five features that stood out to me. Make a designer happy and do a random test!

I have yet to upload a project but I definitely will future projects both personal and work related. Have you tried five second test? If not, how do you or your company conduct usability testing?

Today’s interesting site is Logopond. I’ve been visiting this website for awhile now (probably since school began) and I must say, it has become such a great source of inspiration! I’ve recently joined this community but have yet to submit any of the logos I’ve done. Afraid of criticism, am I? Yes, especially from seasoned designers. Soon, I will work up the courage to upload something.

Anyway, if you love eye candy and inspiration like me, this is the place for you. There are plenty of clever, funny, elegant, and whimsical logos that can be found! Enjoy!

OKay, I guess I shouldn’t make a pointless post with this so I’ll at least include the site of the day which I’ve been trying to write about for some time now.

Artzmania is an e-zine featuring outstanding work of different artists, designers, and photographers from all over the world. This is such a great tool for inspiration, and guess what, it’s free! There are 4 issues out now so go and download them!

BTB, this current design is pissing me off. Some browsers are moving the sidebar down and I don’t know why it’s doing that! So…a change will be made soon but Dan’s website is a priority. I have to keep telling myself that. I love you Dan but this website is my little baby. It’s gotta be nurtured to be a great design! I hope you understand. ;-)
