Modifications for Shizucor.com

Okay I changed my mind about creating a totally new design. I’ll just get rid of the header image including the nav, rework the sidebar, use an image bullet for the list, lessen the amount of rounded corners, and do something with the footer.

Now, I certainly don’t mind getting suggestions from me lovely visitors :-).

    I’d say to get rid of content boxes and just separate the sections by using some sort of design and lots of space. A flower, a leaf, a branch, whatever. Just to make the design more roomy.

    I say get rid of the pixelated header image. Also try to experiment with livelier colors. Honestly, the colors are depressing (Sorry, had to say it. But yeah, I know it’s subjective.).

    Hope that helped. And I’m wishing you won’t get offended by me voicing out my opinions. A lot of people sadly misinterpret suggestions as personal attacks on their design skills. Argh.

    I’m definitely not offended and your suggestions are well appreciated. Taking art classes in college has helped learn how to deal with criticisms.

    I suggest you use contrasting colors if you like dark colors to begin with. You can always liven up dark colors by using them together with bright ones. First you have to come up with a color scheme then start making images that comply with that particular color scheme. Hope that helps :)

    Aileen – Ahhh contrast! d’oh! That’s one thing I forgot to do with this current design. But I have picked a new color scheme and it’s actually brighter than what I have now. Thanks for visiting and suggesting!
